TLC Aged Care is a major sponsor of Alzheimer’s Australia Vic. TLC has worked extensively with Alzheimer’s Australia Vic to develop a range of specialised dementia services for its aged care residents. TLC is introducing a highly innovative ‘supported living’ program into its homes, which includes daily lifestyle activities to help people living with dementia to return to more independent living. Activities such as meal preparation and Montessori-based physical activities allow residents the choices that will increase their independence and improve their cognitive skills.

In addition to the sponsorship agreement Alzheimer’s Australia Vic will continue to advise TLC on dementia-friendly design and best practice care in their existing and future homes, and provide specialist dementia care training for TLC’s staff.

As part of a commitment to keeping senior Australians active and healthy TLC Aged Care (TLC) has announced the launch of the TLC Cycling Team, a team of five cyclists competing in the Victorian Veterans’ Cycling Council (VVCC) Open Aggregate Series.

The team consists of Andrew Mapstone, Darren Roberts, Nick Kennedy, Michael Borowski and Phil Bramich who are currently ranked second in the eastern veterans’ summer series.
