Senior Accounts Officer – Resident Financial Services
Location: St Kilda Road, Melbourne (overlooking Albert Park)
Employment Type: Full time, On-site
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Accounts Officer to join our Resident Financial Services team. Based at our St Kilda Road office with stunning views of Albert Park, this role plays a key part in delivering excellence across our Accounts Receivable (AR) portfolio.
As the Senior Accounts Officer, you’ll manage end–to–end AR functions—from resident admission to discharge—including account setup, billing, banking, reconciliations, collections, refunds, and compliance. You will ensure the accuracy of financial information, support audit requirements, and provide training and guidance to the Accounts Receivable Officer.

What you’ll be doing
- Managing financial and business support functions, including AR reconciliations, resident admissions/discharges, refunds, and maintaining data integrity.
- Working both independently and collaboratively to ensure deadlines are met with strong attention to detail.
- Liaising effectively with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Identifying and escalating risks while implementing mitigation strategies.
- Producing professional and accurate reports as required.
- Demonstrating advanced computer literacy, including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and finance system applications.
- Ensuring compliance with TLC policies, procedures, legislation, and audit requirements.
- Identifying opportunities for system and process improvements.
- Upholding resident dignity, privacy, and individuality.
- Completing monthly Medicare Payment Statement reconciliations and validating resident charges.
- Reconciling bank accounts and ensuring all daily resident payments (fees and RADs) are allocated in Epicor and Great Plains by 10am.
- Reconciling all AR account numbers in the Chart of Accounts each month.
- Maintaining high data integrity across financial systems.
- Supporting efforts to reduce outstanding debt and manage collections.
- Delivering exceptional customer service to residents, families, and internal teams.
- Supporting team collaboration and contributing to shared goals.
- Training and supporting the Accounts Receivable Officer to ensure deadlines are consistently achieved.
Qualifications / Experience Required
- 1–3 years’ experience in Aged Care finance (preferred)
- Finance or Accounting qualifications
- Understanding of compliance and legislative requirements relevant to AR and aged care
