TLC RTO Learning Academy is expanding — and we’re looking for a high-energy, results-driven Business Development Manager to accelerate our growth across the aged care, medical, early learning and community sectors.

About the Role
As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for establishing, accelerating, and scaling new commercial partnerships for the TLC RTO Learning Academy.
You will:
- Build a strong pipeline of new clients across short courses, traineeships and staff professional development opportunities in aged care, disability services, medical centres, early learning and community services.
- Drive proactive prospecting, cold outreach, and commercial negotiations.
- Convert opportunities into long-term, high-value partnerships.
- Represent TLC at industry events, conferences, and key stakeholder engagements.
- Collaborate closely with RTO team to ensure seamless onboarding and student experience.
- Lead and develop a small, high-performing team.
This role is ideal for someone who is hungry for results, thrives in a fast-paced, build-from-scratch environment, and can confidently engage decision-makers at all levels.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven success in B2B sales, business development or commercial partnerships.
- Experience in RTO operations, education, healthcare, aged care, or early learning (highly regarded).
- A strong track record in self-generated pipelines and closing deals.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence engaging executives, procurement teams, and business owners.
- Resilience and persistence in navigating long sales cycles.
- CRM competency and confidence using Microsoft 365.
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across metro and regional areas.

- Right to work in Australia
- Valid Police Check
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
- Up-to-date COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations
- NDIS Check (including police clearance)
