General Manager – Operations
Job Type: Full- time
Location: Melbourne and flexible to travel across various TLC sites

Guided by our values of Respect, Accountability, Excellence, Collaboration, Integrity and Innovation, we are seeking an exceptional General Manager – Operations to join our executive operations team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the General Manager – Operations plays a pivotal leadership role across TLC’s aged care portfolio. You will work closely with, Regional Operations Managers, General Managers, care teams and corporate support functions to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant and resident-focused care across all sites.
This role provides operational leadership and hands-on support across Admissions, AN-ACC, Quality, Human Resources and Accreditation, while driving continuous improvement, regulatory compliance and strong operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership and support across all TLC Aged Care Homes, including relief support during GM leave or vacancies
- Partner with General Managers to achieve key performance targets including occupancy, AN-ACC outcomes, quality indicators and strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and Care Minutes
- Support and oversee accreditation readiness, continuous improvement plans and regulatory compliance
- Lead and contribute to key operational and quality improvement projects across the group
- Provide coaching, mentoring and training support to site leadership teams
- Collaborate with executive leaders across Operations, Quality & Risk, HR and Health & Safety or as required
- Act as an advocate for resident-centred care, workplace safety, ESG initiatives and a positive organisational culture
- Ensure an exceptional customer service experience for residents, families, staff and external stakeholders
- Supportive and approachable operational leader focused on coaching and continuous improvement
- Work closely with the Quality and Risk team
About You
You are a confident, values-driven senior leader with extensive experience in aged care operations. You thrive in complex environments, are highly collaborative, and excel at influencing, problem-solving and driving improvement across multiple sites.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Significant experience in aged care operations
- Demonstrated expertise in AN-ACC, funding and aged care financial frameworks
- Strong working knowledge of the Aged Care Act, Accreditation Standards and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting multi-site operations and leading through change
- Strong, values-driven people leader who leads by example

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and support senior leaders
- High level of professionalism, accountability and integrity
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement and resident-focused care
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and industry systems
Compliance Requirements
- Satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check (including National Criminal History Police Check)
- Completion of mandatory training requirements
- Right to work in Australia
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
- Up-to-date COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations
