Join Team TLC – Maintenance Officer
Locations: Armstrong Creek & Altona North
Full-time, ongoing | Wednesday to Sunday + occasional out-of-hours

About the role
We’re looking for a versatile and hands-on Maintenance Officer to join our Building Services Team. You’ll be responsible for repairs, preventative maintenance, and supporting site projects across our Armstrong Creek and Altona North locations.
This role requires travel between sites, occasional out-of-hours work, and a proactive approach to keeping our facilities safe, functional, and welcoming.
From time-to-time if operational needs require, you will need to work irregular hours such as after 5pm, on weekends or public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and coordinate building repairs and maintenance
- Support minor renovations and refurbishments
- Conduct carpentry, patching, painting, and basic plumbing repairs
- Maintain heating/cooling systems, fire services, kitchen appliances, pools, and plumbing
- Manage contractors and stock lists of tools, spares, and consumables
- Assist with furniture transfers and general handy-person tasks
- Ensure safety and defect-free environments for residents
- Use Microsoft Office and industry-specific software
What You’ll Need
- Trade qualification in Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Carpentry, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in building maintenance (aged care or commercial)
- White Card
- COVID-19 vaccinations (3 doses)
- NDIS Check (includes Police Clearance)
- Working with Children Check
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
- Own vehicle and flexibility to travel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Proof of eligibility to work in Australia
