TLC Healthcare is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our Primary Care team. This role is key to ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our medical centre while delivering a welcoming and professional experience to patients, families, and visitors.

  • Location:  Various locations across, Central and South East regions.
  • Hours: Casual

About the Role

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be one of the first points of contact for patients and play a vital role in supporting clinical and administrative operations. Reporting to the Administration Manager, you will provide high-quality administrative support while ensuring exceptional customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and stakeholders at reception
  • Manage incoming calls, appointments, calendars, and correspondence
  • Support appointment bookings
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient and administrative records
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Deliver consistently high standards of customer service to patients and staff
  • Contribute to quality improvement and accreditation requirements
  • Participate in meetings and support team-based workflows

 

About You

You will be a reliable, organised, and compassionate administrator who thrives in a patient-facing environment.

You will bring:

  • Experience in medical reception, administration, or a similar healthcare role
  • Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
  • Strong computer literacy (MS Office and clinical / booking systems)
  • A professional approach to confidentiality and sensitive information
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to service excellence
  • Experience with NDIS, Workcover and support at home invoicing is highly desirable

 

  Skills/Requirements

  • A customer-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong administration and time management capabilities
  • Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations (3 doses)
  • 2026 Influenza vaccination
  • NDIS Check (includes Police Clearance)
  • Eligibility to work in Australia
