As our Café Supervisor, you’ll be the warm, welcoming face of our café and a key leader in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You’ll support our Front of House team, work closely with baristas and kitchen staff, and help create an environment where customers feel valued from the moment, they arrive. 

 

About the Role

The Café Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing service flow, supporting the team, and upholding high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and customer engagement. You’ll lead shifts, handle customer interactions with confidence, and contribute to a strong team culture built on respect, collaboration, and excellence.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead shifts, guide FOH staff, and act as the main point of contact
  • Mentor team members and support onboarding while fostering a positive, professional environment
  • Deliver warm, attentive customer service and provide menu guidance
  • Handle enquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure accurate POS transactions
  • Support smooth operations across FOH, barista, and kitchen areas
  • Follow opening and closing procedures and maintain efficient service flow
  • Assist with stock rotation, monitoring, and restocking
  • Maintain consistent food and beverage standards and follow SOPs
  • Work efficiently during peak periods and help minimise wait times
  • Maintain café cleanliness and presentation across all service areas
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, RSA, and WHS requirements and complete daily checks
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and report equipment issues promptly

 

About You

You’ll shine in this role if you are:

  • Experienced in hospitality, retail, or customer service leadership
  • Confident in multitasking and staying calm during busy periods
  • A strong communicator with exceptional customer service focus
  • Positive, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Attentive to detail, quality, and café presentation
  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends
  • Experienced with POS systems (desired)

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • HLTFSE001 – Follow Basic Food Safety Practices
  • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • Up-to-date COVID-19 & Influenza vaccinations
