Chief Acute Care Officer (Hospital) -Executive Level

Job Type: Full-time
Remuneration: Total package: $550,000 including superannuation +15% discretionary bonus
TLC Healthcare is a leading, values-driven healthcare provider experiencing significant growth and innovation across Australia. As part of our long-term strategy, we are establishing and scaling a new acute care platform, commencing with day surgery and expanding over time.
We are now seeking an exceptional Chief Acute Care Officer (CACO) to join our Executive Leadership Team.
This is a rare senior executive opportunity to design, build, commission and operate acute care services from inception—shaping a new platform within an established and respected healthcare organisation.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Acute Care Officer holds local hospital CEO-level accountability for:
- Establishing and operating TLC’s first day surgery hospital
- Leading clinical governance, safety, compliance and operational performance
- Building and leading a high-performing acute care leadership and medical model
- Driving disciplined, staged growth of the acute care pipeline over time
This is a hands-on executive role, requiring strong clinical governance acumen, commercial discipline, and the maturity to lead confidently in a complex, highly regulated environment.
About You
You are a senior healthcare executive with:
- Proven leadership experience at hospital CEO, COO or equivalent executive level
- Deep expertise in acute care operations, clinical governance, accreditation and regulatory compliance
- Experience leading hospital commissioning, capital development and growth
- Strong credibility with clinicians, VMOs, Boards, regulators and insurers
- High emotional intelligence, judgement and executive presence
You bring a balanced leadership style—commercially astute, clinically grounded, values-driven and outcome-focused.
Remuneration
This role attracts Executive Level remuneration, consistent with TLC’s senior executive pay framework, including:
- Total Remuneration Package circa $550,000
- Short-term incentive opportunity of 15%
Compliance Requirements
- Satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check (including National Criminal History Police Check)
- Completion of mandatory training requirements
- Right to work in Australia
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
- Up-to-date COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations
