We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Lifestyle/ Wellbeing Team Leader to join our team at TLC Homestead Estate in Wallington.

 

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for leading and supporting the wellbeing team to deliver exceptional lifestyle programs and person-centred care that promotes resident engagement, happiness, independence and overall quality of life.

 

About the Role

As the Lifestyle/Wellbeing Team Leader you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day wellbeing program within the home while mentoring and supporting Wellbeing Care Assistants to deliver meaningful and engaging resident experiences.

 

You will work closely with residents, families and multidisciplinary care teams to design, implement and evaluate individualised wellbeing programs that support each resident’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical wellbeing.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and support a team of Wellbeing Care Assistants.
  • Plan and deliver engaging group and individual wellbeing programs and activities.
  • Develop monthly activity calendars and special event programs.
  • Liaise with residents, families and clinical teams to develop and review individualised wellbeing care plans.
  • Ensure a person-centred approach is embedded in all wellbeing activities and resident interactions.
  • Manage daily wellbeing program operations, documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Support residents through meaningful social, emotional and cognitive engagement opportunities.
  • Coordinate outings and community participation activities, ensuring all safety and compliance requirements are met.
  • Conduct incident reporting and communicate issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Support continuous improvement, accreditation and compliance standards within the home.
  • Provide direct resident care and mobility assistance where required

 

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience leading a team within aged care, community services or health services.
  • Strong understanding of dementia care and person-centred practice.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to motivate, coach and develop team members.
  • Demonstrated understanding of aged care standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, including documentation and reporting.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and aged care software systems.
  • A positive, proactive approach and commitment to resident-focused care.

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent experience or
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing).
  • Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations
  • 2026 Influenza vaccination
  • NDIS Clearance Check; or
  • National Criminal History Check
  • Current and Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Eligibility to work in Australia
