Mental Health Month – October 2026
October is Mental Health Month — a timely reminder to check in, stay connected and make mental wellbeing part of everyday conversations.
At TLC Healthcare, we recognise the importance of belonging, connection and early support. Looking after your mental health helps you stay well, feel supported and continue caring for others.

Why it matters
Mental health can change gradually or unexpectedly. It can affect anyone, in any role, and may influence mood, energy, sleep, appetite, concentration and daily routines.
Small steps can help, rest when you can, keep connected, maintain healthy routines and speak with a health professional early if something does not feel right.

Signs to look out for
Changes are not always obvious. Someone may withdraw from others, lose interest in usual activities, feel unusually tired or flat, or find everyday tasks harder than usual. Mental and physical health are closely connected. Changes in sleep, appetite, behaviour or energy levels can be signs that it is time to seek support.

How to take action in October 2026
Use Mental Health Month as a prompt to check in with yourself and others. If you notice changes in mood, sleep, appetite, energy or behaviour, start a conversation and seek support early.
- Book your appointment. If you do not feel like yourself, or you are concerned about someone else, book an appointment with a GP. TLC Medical Centre doctors will listen, assess what is happening and help connect you with the right care.
