You'll master essential skills such as:
- Recognising and assessing emergency situations
- Managing child casualties with a range of medical conditions and issues
- Ensuring safety for all in emergency situations
- Assessing casualties and the need for first aid
- Seeking assistance from emergency services
- Applying CPR and first aid principles
- Accurately conveying incident details to emergency services
- Reporting incidents involving children and infants to parents and guardians

- Reviewing the first aid response after the incident
- Following prompts of an AED defibrillator

Course Requirements
- No academic prerequisites required
- Students must be at least 18 years old when the course starts
- Students must provide their Unique Student Identifier (USI) number
- Students must have basic digital literacy skills and access to a computer or smart device
- Payment of $180 course fee
- Students must complete the online quiz prior to attending

Upon registration for the course, you must provide evidence of appropriate identification. You are required to obtain a Unique Student Identification (USI) number, which can be used for all studies in Australia. Applying for a USI is mandatory and can be done online here.
