Safe manual handling is critical across every role in aged care, health, and community services. Our manual handing training is a practical, role-specific program designed to reduce the risk of workplace injury while supporting safe, confident work practices aligned to legislation and industry standards. 

This training is delivered by experience facilitators and is customised to each staff group, ensuring relevanve, compliance, and real-world application.


You'll master essential skills such as:
  • Safely transferring residents (bed, chair, wheelchair, shower chair)
  • Sitting-to-standing techniques and assisted walking
  • Using slide sheets, standing hoists, and floor hoists
  • Repositioning residents in beds and chairs
  • Managing falls safely and confidently
  • Working in line with care plans, physiotherapy recommendations, and WorkSafe requirements
  • Placing emphasis on dignity, communication, teamwork, and injury prevention
